- đ¤ Speaker: KL (University of Cambridge)

- đ Venue: Munby Room, Kings College Cambridge.
Abstract
The West is elbow deep in the Yemeni tragedy. Tens of thousand have died as a direct result of bombing and blockade, and 10 million are close to starvation.
The British state alone licensed 4.7bn of arms exports to the Saudis since the beginning of the war, alongside providing constant training, maintenance and technical support to the gangers in Riyadh.
This talk will discuss how the crisis in Yemen shows the cynicism of Western imperialism, as well as contradictions emerging within the Saudi regime. Moreover, it will discuss how the way forward must be the fight for socialism, based on the power and solidarity of the organised working class.
Series This talk is part of the Marxist Discussion Group Talks series.
