Abstract
A sequence (G_n) of groups is said to have homological stability if H_i(G_n) becomes independent of n, provided n is large enough (as a function of i). Homological stability is a very common phenomenon, and in this talk I will discuss some of the techniques that one can use to prove such stability results, as well as some examples.
