Abstract
Why aren’t Cambridge Colleges paying their Staff the Living Wage?
This will be a panel discussion involving representatives from both Town and Gown to discuss the delay in implementing the Real Living Wage in England’s most unequal city.
The Real Living Wage is what is considered to be the minimum hourly wage to ensure a decent standard of life for a worker. This is taking on increasing urgency with the onset of rapid gentrification of much of Cambridge, which squeezes out lower income workers.
CAMbFIRE is an apolitical organisation that is committed to free speech and represents all perspectives, whereever possible.
