Abstract
Cosmological perturbation theory is an important theoretical pillar in the development and success of modern cosmology. Using the ADM (3+1) formulation of Einstein’s gravity a perturbation analysis valid to fully nonlinear and exact order is possible. Being fully nonlinear and exact it includes any order perturbation expansion as well as the post-Newtonian approximation. We will explain some consequences of this formulation in cosmology and astrophysics. A related work we have devoted during our stay in DAMTP will be explained as well.
