Work in progress on visual programming languages

Abstract
Research into visual programming languages has quietly died in recent years. In this talk I will look briefly at previous visual programming language work, and identify areas of success. I will then describe work-in-progress to create a VPL for web application development, and what new innovations I hope to demonstrate.
