Abstract
The commercialisation process of new technologies is full of uncertainties, especially in the increasingly competitive global economy of today. Considering the constraints of time and resources, companies usually work together to capture emerging opportunities or create new opportunities. However, network based business models are poorly understood due to the involvement of tacit knowledge and complex interdependencies. Our research aims to develop a framework that will help CIKC partners to understand the opportunities and challenges in accessing and developing global value networks; and outline practical tools for CIKC partners to establish and sustain competitive advantages with collaborative networks
