Abstract
In this short talk we review current methods used by engineers to program AI in order to make judgments on whether a course of action is fair. A clear challenge of defining fairness becomes apparent. To this end, a golden rule & Socratic theory of motivation behind actions, is proposed as a way forward in the design of a new algorithm.
Its use in the quantification of legal documents will be touched upon.
(No prior knowledge of programming or AI is required).
