Abstract
Traditionally computers have been used to aid the sciences, to predict whether a bridge will stand given certain constraints, for example. What happens when we try this in the social domain? Is is possible for a computer the predict whether a policy will stand the test of time? Will the policy work as intended? We explore this question and discuss the fist step used for quantifying social factors, factors which take the form of social ideas presented in written documents.
This 20 minute introductory talk will be given over zoom. No prior knowledge of artificial intelligence is needed.
