Causality Constraints and the Curious Case of de Sitter

Abstract
A variety of criteria related to causality can be used to constrain theories in flat and curved spacetimes. Often, these constraints are straightforward to derive in anti de Sitter or flat spacetimes but are poorly understood in de Sitter spacetime. In this talk I will present some of these constraints, their relationships and their applications. I will discuss what happens when these constraints are applied to a simple toy model in de Sitter spacetime.
