Quantum Noise and Entanglement in Mesoscopic Devices
- π€ Speaker: Prof. Nicholas d'Ambrumenil, University of Warwick

- π Venue: TCM Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
I will argue that understanding the geometric properties of the density matrix of a quantum point contact is enough to reproduce two key formulae for the quantum statistics of the charge transfer across the device. They can also guide the design of operational protocols for generating entangled states or the design of low noise single-electron sources.
