Abstract
Digital fabrication with concrete has emerged as a very dynamic field of research over the past few years, and several start-up companies are already operational. While these are mainly pursuing extrusion printing, a wider range of digital fabrication processes is being used in the National Competence Centre for Research in Digital Fabrication (NCCR dfab) at ETH Zurich. Although several of these processes are promising, their adoption by industry is currently limited by issues of structural integrity, material footprint, durability, and economic competitiveness. The talk will provide an overview of current research in the NCCR dfab at ETH Zurich that addresses these challenges.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Department Structures Research Seminars series.
