Abstract
Embedded in the University or Reading, NCAS -CMS provides support for computational modelling to the ac.uk weather and climate research community. Our work spans a wide range of activity that mirrors the elements of the numerical modelling work flow, from HPC resource management and administration, to running Earth-System models, to managing and analyzing model output. I shall attempt to describe the role of NCAS -CMS in the current HPC environment and some of the work we are involved in with an eye on the future.
