If you have a question about this talk, please contact Ben Karniely .

Across computer science, mathematics, and other areas of study, compositional techniques give us a powerful way to understand complex structures. As a result, compositionality itself has come under increasing study, with the goal of building powerful, generic tools that can be applied across many domains. I will discuss some of the fundamental problems in this area, present recent results, and discuss possible future applications, from the foundations of computation to systems biology.
