Abstract
In this talk I will begin with an overview of the importance of receptivity on boundary layer flows and how this affects the motion of balls in sport. I will then describe the mathematical structure of leading-edge receptivity focusing on work in progress on the relationship between different classes of asymptotic eigensolutions of the unsteady boundary layer equations.
