Join Attila Lorincz, Emeritus Professor of Molecular Epidemiology, Queen Mary University of London, for the seventh talk in our International Early Detection Webinar series from the CRUK Cambridge Centre Early Detection Programme.

About the Speaker Professor Lorinczโs research focuses on human diagnostics and the natural history of human papillomavirus (HPV) infections. He invented and disseminated the Hybrid Capture (HC) series of HPV tests. In this talk he will give a personal account of the barriers, challenges, technological and commercial breakthroughs that were navigated in the lengthy pathway to adoption of a novel diagnostic test for cervical cancer screening. He will also cover recent developments towards self-collected cervicovaginal specimens.
