Abstract
Cities worldwide are investing in infrastructure to promote economic growth, improve accessibility, address environmental issues and enhance the quality of life. A transparent and holistic approach to transport planning that integrates users within transport planning should be applied to reflect diverse needs and local circumstances. The talk gives an insight into the development of such an approach to identify sustainable urban transport strategies that could potentially contribute to achieving transport justice. Specifically, it looks at how multidimensional characteristics of sustainability interact with the ideas of transport justice through case studies on London and Birmingham.
