Medicine 101 - How to be a Casualty Doctor
- đ¤ Speaker: Michael-Luke Jones, St John's College
- đ Date & Time: Tuesday 27 January 2009, 20:00 - 20:30
- đ Venue: Boys Smith Room, Fisher Building, St John's College
Abstract
Prior to disappearing into the library for the next four months to learn Clinical Pathology, Michael-Luke has decided to share his enthusiasm for medicine with the St John’s graduate community. As he can’t invite you all round to Addenbrooke’s to see how truly wonderful it is to be a medical student, we’ll instead watch part of last week’s Casualty (a quality UK TV medical drama) and help save a young mother’s life by together coming to an accurate and timely diagnosis. Think of it like House, but less grumpy and knowledgeable. No knowledge required beyond GCSE Biology, and we’ll have it all wrapped up in half-an-hour.
