Abstract
The talk will give an overview of research activities in the Rolls-Royce Control and Systems Engineering UTC . This will explain how the UTC operates with the company and will cover projects on distributed systems development, control law development, prognostics and diagnostics for a range of applications in civil and military aircraft, marine propulsion and power generation. The talk will also include associated work with Airbus developing More Electric Technologies and a Wireless Nervous System for future Active Aircraft. The activities of the Centre in wireless sensor development and energy harvesting will also be presented.
