Abstract
A set of measurements is currently strongly pointing towards beyond the Standard Model in particle physics: the so-called `flavour anomalies’. I will describe these measurements in general terms and describe what new physics can explain them. The new physics quantum fields come in two classes: flavour-changing leptoquarks or Z-primes. I will say how these can be found by direct searches in particle colliders, and how they may shed light on the fermion mass puzzle.
