Abstract
As with engineering for safety and security, we need to move to unpack the concept of privacy to categorise and quantify the requirements likely to arise from ethical, professional, regulatory and legal considerations. In this talk I will discuss some of those requirements and some of the techniques that might be deployed to meet them in areas such as Privacy Enhancing Technologies and Higher-Order Cryptography.
