Abstract
Let R be a commutative noetherian ring and M is a commutative partially cancellative monoid. We are interested in understanding the K-theory of the monoid algebra R[M] in terms of the K-theory of R.If M=Z_+ (or Zn), then classically there are many results (e.g. homotopy invariance, K_0-stability)which holds for R[M]. In this talk, we will see how far those results could be extended for R[M], where M is any monoid.
