Abstract
The University of Cambridge is a centre of innovation where entrepreneurial organisations have a significant role in converting cutting-edge research into successful companies. In the past four years CUTEC has showcased examples of how inventions become innovations through venture funds. We are continuously broadening our scope to promote entrepreneurship by establishing partnership between the University and the venture capital industry. Our activities present opportunities for students to evaluate the impact their research can have on everyday life.
The conference theme, “Emerging Technologies, opportunities for tomorrow”, focuses on the challenges and successes of starting up a business whose technology could change our lifestyle in the future. We explore this topic by looking at the fields of internet communication, sustainable energy and personalised medicines. Most importantly, we would like to thank our keynote speakers, panelists and personalised medicines.
