Abstract
This talk is an invitation to the theory of non-positively curved cube complexes. I will introduce these objects and try to convince you that they are nice and interesting. I will also tell you what it means to “cubulate a group”, what is the standard strategy for doing such a thing, what sort of groups this strategy works for, and –time permitting– why you might care.
Series This talk is part of the Junior Geometry Seminar series.
