Many products developed at TTP use applications of fluid mechanics. In this talk we will present several case studies including Taylor vortices and bubble-driven sorting vortices in cell and gene therapy, asymmetric mixing in beer kegs, and turbine design in leaf blowers. The design of these devices requires a variety of physical mechanisms to be understood, and we will also highlight the challenges of converting the concept into a product.
