Abstract
I intend to describe the global asymptotic results concerning the Painlev\’e transcendents that can be obtained via the Riemann-Hilbert/Isomonodromy method. These include explicit connection formulae, quasi-linear and nonlinear Stokes phenomena, distribution of poles. This is an extended version of the online talk I gave in the first part of the program in the Spring of 2021. Among the added new material I am planning to discuss the recent results concerning the connection formulae for the Painleve tau functions.
