Abstract
I develop wearable, non-invasive optical brain monitoring tools based on near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to measure brain oxygenation and metabolism in places where conventional brain imaging isnβt possible. In this talk, I will present some of the applications of this technique, focussing on neonatal seizures and canine neuroscience, covering the engineering challenges and future directions of wearable brain imaging in naturalistic environments.
