Abstract
High-energy physics theories motivates scenarios of inflation different from the standard single-field slow-roll paradigm. In this talk, I will discuss some features of multiple-field inflation with non standard kinetic terms. These models can in particular generate primordial density fluctuations with a large non-Gaussian component that could be detected by forthcoming experiments like the Planck satellite. Special emphasis will be given to multifield Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) inflation which is a string-inspired scenario in which a D3-brane moves in a higher-dimensional spacetime.
