The most famous no-go theorem is probably the impossibility of squaring the circle, the proof of which is based on an algebraic vs. transcendental separation. In the talk, I will discuss three quantum problems for which no-go theorems can be obtained based on the same simple idea. We will look into quantum marginal problems, quantum circuit complexity lower bounds, and transcendental properties of entropy-constrained sets and their implications.
