Abstract
Remember stories about people writing programs for laser printers because they were faster than CPUs? It’s GPU time now! NVIDIA ’s graphics chips are amazingly fast at processing graphics. Moreover they can be used to write general purpose programs. CUDA is a programming architecture that allows to use that hardware in order to build massively parallel programs. We will look into the specifics of this hardware that we can exploit and will discuss some simple applications for it.
