Abstract
For the last three years or so, the Wireless Team have been involved in a couple of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) projects. The overall aim of these projects has been to monitor the condition of ageing civil infrastructure, specifically local water distribution networks, bridges and tunnels. Our part in these projects has focused primarily on the development of empirical and electromagnetic (EM) based propagation path loss models for these application scenarios. In this talk, I will give an overview of some of some of the (WSN) deployments we have been involved in and also discuss the results of some of our measurements and modelling.
Series This talk is part of the Computer Laboratory Digital Technology Group (DTG) Meetings series.
