Engaged Ethics: How We Learned to Roll Up Our Sleeves
- 👤 Speaker: Lynn Cunningham, Hotel Chocolat
- 📅 Date & Time: Monday 02 November 2009, 18:00 - 19:30

Abstract
Lynn is People & Ethics Director of Hotel Chocolat, a luxury chocolate company with a difference. From a small start-up 15 years ago, the company has grown into a transatlantic success. Ethics are at the core of everything they do – they grow their own cocoa beans on their regenerated cocoa estate in St Lucia, and also have a range of cocoa farmer support programmes in Ghana. Lynn, who has been personally involved in forging links with overseas growers, will talk about the company’s ‘Engaged Ethics’ programme, and why ethical consumerism needn’t always mean Fairtrade.
