Abstract
Computers play a major role in the composition and production of most modern music, but behind every Timbaland there’s a hundred years of revolutionary thought and theory waiting to be explored. For this talk I’ll be giving a brief overview of the ideas that made electronic music a reality, the science of sound and synthesis, and how theory was put into practice to change the face of popular music.
