Abstract
The interfacial tension is a crucial concept in phase separating systems. Although lacking its energetic interpretation, I will discuss how interfacial tension(s) can be defined in active systems, and that these can turn negative yet while the system is phase separated. When this happens, novel morphologies of phase separation arise, which are impossible at equilibrium. If time allows, I will then discuss the roughening properties of liquid-vapor interfaces in active systems both in the dry and wet settings, and in presence of chirality.
