We are excited to announce that Dr. Siddharth Gandhi, an assistant professor at the University of Warwick, will be delivering the fourth talk of our Astro Career Talk Series.

Dr. Siddharth Gandhi’s Bio:

I work on the characterisation of exoplanetary atmospheres, encompassing observations from both the ground and space, and studying a range of planets, from very hot close-in transiting planets to directly imaged exoplanets at large distances from their host star.

• Originally from India, I have lived in the UK since I was 7.
• Completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at Cambridge, later transitioning to astronomy.
• Earned my PhD at the IoA under Prof N Madhusudhan, focusing on atmospheric modelling for various planets.
• Postdoctoral research at Warwick with Prof Matteo Brogi, emphasizing high-resolution ground observations.
• Held the Oort fellowship in Leiden before my current role as Assistant Professor at Warwick, starting October 2023.
• Interests include coxing and playing cricket.
