Abstract
Approaches to Egyptian archaeology from a geological perspective have until recently been confined to hard rock quarry sites. This talk will concentrate on sedimentology and the (sometimes startling) insights to be gained from aspects of environmental change thrown up from the sediment record, using the data from Memphis (the pharaonic capital) as a case study.
Series This talk is part of the Sedgwick Club talks series.
