Abstract
After an ultrashort introduction to the anyon models used for describing topological phases in two space dimension, I will discuss phase transitions between such phases, caused by the condensation of a bosonic quasiparticle. I will show how one may obtain the anyon spectrum and the topological interactions of condensed phases using methods resembling those used for symmetry breaking phase transitions. If time permits I will also discuss systems with phase separation and applications to anyonic systems which arise in the fractional quantum Hall effect.
