Abstract
Dr Annabel Dulhunty is currently leading two projects on climate justice: one on climate, gender and diversity in the Indian Sundarbans, and the other on climate coloniality in the Pacific.
This talk will discuss the legacy of climate injustice in the Indian Sundarbans, particularly how it has impacted the most marginalised populations β intersecting with caste, religion and gender. Drawing on interviews with affected communities,Β this discussion will also highlight strategies for resistance. Finally, this talk will examine current climate financing mechanisms, such as the Loss and Damage Fund, addressing what may be needed to make these schemes work for impacted communities.
