Abstract
Don’t miss this great chance to ask Professor Stuart Corbridge your questions…
Stuart Corbridge, professor of Development Studies at the LSE , has written widely on the subject of development and economics: his interests include governance and accountability, participation, development and post-development, and the political economy and culture of India. Thanks to the volume and range of his writing and teaching in development studies, Professor Corbridge’s “encyclopaedic knowledge of the field is widely acknowledged to be without equal” (S Batterbury, 2004).
Professor Corbridge will be using this encyclopaedic knowledge to answer YOUR questions for one night only. Perhaps you want to know more about his views on Marxist geographies; the case for aid expansion; or the appeal of Hindu nationalism to India’s lower castes of India? Or perhaps you are interested in why he believes globalisation is a synonym for disempowerment; how development policies have impacted Jharkhand; or what effects corruption has on participatory development?
To ask your question(s), email jm715@cam.ac.uk with your name, college and question, or ask on the night (priority will be given to questions that are submitted on or before Monday 14th November). This event is free for members, ÂŖ1 for non-members.
