Cambridge Hazard and Risk Research Day 2025

Abstract
This one-day conference will consist of talks, posters, and discussions bringing together those working on hazard, risk, and related topics across the university. Lunch, tea, coffee, and snacks will be provided.
We invite presentations from people working on all aspects of hazard and risk, in particular: - Understanding the processes, frequency, and distribution of natural hazards. - Evaluating the perception and impact of disasters. - Monitoring or modelling the physical processes of natural hazards and multihazard chains. - Technology-based (e.g. early warning systems) or social/community-based approaches to mitigating risk. - Cross-sector risk studies.

We will broadcast the presentations from this conference online (hybrid format) and will circulate more details about the agenda in due course. It will be possible to give online talks, though please do come in person for the discussion if you are in Cambridge!
