Abstract
In this talklet I will try to share some of the problems I am currently facing with my research on the field of application identification. I will give a very brief introduction of the field and present some ideas on the deadends that current research faces. My research tries to exploit novel network data sources, like netflow, in order to provide application identification. The talklet will focus more on the problem space and less on results, but I hope to initiate a good discussion over the potential solution.
