Lister Institute Prize Seminar - Dr Alex Borodavka

The MRC Toxicology Unit is honoured to host Dr Alexander Borodavka (EMBO Young Investigator and​ Assistant Professor of Biotechnology, ​Dept. of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge) to present a seminar following his receipt of the 2024 Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine Prize Fellowship.

We welcome you to join us on Thursday 16th October 2025 at 12:45 in the Gleeson Building Seminar Room for Dr Borodavka’s Lister Prize Seminar entitled: “What do Viral Genomic Jigsaws Teach Us About Nature’s Self-Organisation Rules”.

Professor Sir John Iredale, Chairman of the Lister Institute of Preventative Medicine, will then deliver a brief overview of the Institute and formally present the prize to Dr Borodavka.

Dr Borodavka has been granted one of just six 2024 Lister Institute of Preventative Medicine Prize fellowships for his cutting-edge work. As part of the prize, The Lister Institute has awarded £300,000 to Dr Borodavka’s group to further his research.
