Jezz’s talk will concentrate on the planned archaeological investigation, including excavation, to be undertaken in September 2025 at Loch Achilty, in Ross and Cromarty, Highland, Scotland. Investigation will focus primarily on the Loch Achilty No.1 crannog, believed from previous studies to be a medieval crannog, as well two other possible submerged targets which may also be crannogs. The investigation is being led by the North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS). NOSAS has commissioned the NAS to undertake the underwater elements of the Loch Achilty investigation.
