Abstract
Are you a Cambridge researcher working in women’s health and curious about how your ideas could create real‑world impact? Whether you’re exploring early research findings, spotting unmet clinical needs, or simply wondering what “innovation” or “spinout” really looks like in practice, this interactive half‑day workshop is designed for you.
No prior experience—or fully formed idea—is required. This workshop is especially suited to researchers who are curious, open‑minded, and keen to understand the pathways that can turn an insight into meaningful change for women’s health.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Understand how to assess the commercial value of an idea
- Learn what early‑stage fundraising involves and what investors look for
- Connect with peers across departments who are interested in women’s health innovation
- Leave with new perspectives, confidence, and a practical starter toolkit for next steps
- Join us to spark ideas, build connections, and take meaningful first steps toward improving the landscape of women’s health innovation within the University and beyond.
The workshop is co-organised by Cambridge Reproduction, Cambridge Enterprise and the Cambridge Femtech Society. Attendees are warmly welcomed to stay on after the end of the workshop for a drinks and networking reception.
This workshop is open to current postgraduate students and staff members of the University of Cambridge and its affiliated institutes.
