Titia de Lange-Brief biography Professor de Lange is a world‑leading molecular biologist, renowned for her pioneering work on telomeres. After completing her training in Amsterdam and postdoctoral research with Nobel Laureate Harold Varmus at UCSF – where she first isolated human telomeric DNA – she joined Rockefeller University, where she is now Director of the Anderson Center for Cancer Research. She is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society, and numerous other academies, and has received many of the field’s highest honours, including the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, the Canada Gairdner Award, and the Pezcoller–AACR International Award.
