Microfluidics: a tool for discovery and development
- đ¤ Speaker: Prof. Eugenia Kumacheva, University of Toronto

- đ Venue: Small Lecture Theatre, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
Over the past decade, microfluidics emerged as an efficient research tool in chemistry, physics, fluid mechanics, biology and clinical medicine. It also showed promising applications in producing high-value materials. In this lecture I will review our progress in three areas, namely, (i) in the generation of polymer colloids with a precise control of their shapes, compositions and internal structures; (ii) in cell studies and (iii) in studies and applications of CO2 in the microfluidic format.
