Abstract
Crime and violence are major social problems in Brazil and many other developing countries. However, nearly all large-scale studies have been conducted in high income countries, like Britain. This talk will review findings on childhood origins of crime and violence in British studies, and describe plans for a 5-year research project in Brazil.
