Martingales and Multiplicative Functions
- đ¤ Speaker: Adam Harper (University of Cambridge)

- đ Venue: MR4, CMS
Abstract
I will discuss some normal approximation results for sums of a “random multiplicative function”. The proofs make use of a central limit theorem for martingales, together with estimates for the number of integers with certain numbers of prime divisors. I will try to make the talk accessible and interesting to both number theorists and probabilists (and others).
