Abstract
When national governments seem to stall on setting and meeting targets, and agreeing internationally on how to fight climate change, cities can take cutting carbon into their own hands. Alexis Rowell will talk about how to work with your council and act locally to make a difference. Alexis was a city councillor in the London Borough of Camden from 2006 to 2010, and received the national Sustainability Councillor of the Year award in 2010. Councillors, local environmental activists, community groups, and anyone curious about the Transition movement are all welcome at this event! Refreshments will be available after the talk. Free entry, by donation
