Europe's New Security Architecture from a Transatlantic and Eurasian Perspective

President Efthymiou will discuss the new shape of the European Security Architecture, in the light of three Major Summits (EU, NATO , OSCE), explaining the key role the OSCE can play in this new security architecture, placing particular emphasis on the Eurasian dimension of security the OSCE adds to this (a more comprehensive, inclusive and indivisible understanding of European Security).

He will refer to the re-emergence of Russia as a key player in Eurasian geoeconomics and geopolitics, scan through the Caucasus and its (frozen) conflicts, as well as discuss the ‘rise of the rest’ and how this may affect European Security.
