Cubic Subdivision Schemes with Double Knots
- 👤 Speaker: Dr Jiří Kosinka - Research Associate of Cambridge Rainbow Group

Abstract
In this talk we will explore cubic subdivision schemes for curves and surfaces in the vicinity of double knots. It turns out that double knots change the local behaviour of these schemes from primal to dual. Subdivision schemes are an important technology for representing shapes like cars, aeroplanes and Pixar characters. No prior knowledge of subdivision methods will be assumed.
